New cell phone.

Yeah, low effort shot. But I'm a gadget guy and things like this excite me. Anyway, I've had 4 Treo cell phones in the past year. Treo phones are the darling of the PDA/phone industry. But I hated mine. Unreliable, broken keyboard, constant rebooting (all by itself). I'm sure the SFA software my company was running on it was part of the problem. Regardless, now it's Blackberry's turn for me (to learn to hate as well??).

No camera in this phone . . . and I don't really care . . . Treo's camera was nearly worthless.

I like this shot. It reminds me of the look and feel of some of Rutt's shots! I aspire to such greatness :)

On the grounds of the Cornwall Furnace.

Built in 1742, Cornwall Furnace is one of the oldest iron producing sites in the United States. It is a completely restored complex, with the blast furnace, furnace building, and charging house still standing. Since much of the original structure was made from brick rather than wood, the overall structures remain as they were over a century ago when the furnace ceased operation.

Reminds me of the Apple Ipod ads.

Note: Thanks for the comment Thusie. Replaced original shot because of sensor dust spot (fixed), and lost comments!

Church near Lebanon, PA

Loved the morning light. Leaves are just starting to change but the light has a Fall look to it. Is that possible? I've always felt that Fall light just has a particular "look". Does our brain and eyes percieve the changing angle of the sun to look a unique way or is the light actually different? Daily photo, daily question . . .

I drive past this place almost daily. I always wonder how I might shoot this "kitschy" storefront. Well, here's an attempt - Holga style (or Holga kitsch, if you prefer).

By the way, the business is "That Pet Place (aka, "That Fish Place"). If you have animals, you may have purchased from their catalog or website. The are one of the larger mail-order pet & aquarium suppliers in the country. Nice folks too.
