Heritage

We have a guest bedroom that my wife calls the Heritage Room. The wall have photos of her ancestors, and similar items are found on the shelves. These are photos and things she collected from her parents home when they were alive. Her parents owned a tiny grocery in a town so small there was no traffic light - some of the items in this shot were remnants from the store.

I closed the blinds, set the smallest aperture on my Nikon, and used a flashlight to do "light painting" to make this shot.

Samsung self

I got a new mobile phone - my company decided that Blackberry's were no longer going to be supported - windows mobile only! So I got a Samsung Blackjack II. And it has a camera. All the reviews I read said that the 2mp camera quality was garbage.

Okay, the quality isn't great but it's better than I expected (and a lot better than the Treo phone's camera I had a few years ago). Maybe good for some wacky PS'd shots like this one.

BTW, my eyes aren't even close to green - blue, most definitely!

In Memory of Polaroid -RIP

Listened to a NPR story today about the demise of Polaroid Instant Film. Here's a PS manipulated shot to look something like what my old polaroid shots used to look like.

Found this scene near Reading Pa, on the way home from NYC.
